Specialist research and / or manufacturing processes may require differing environmental standards. Outside of the immediate design parameters of these standards there is also consideration of the procurement of suitable contractors to undertake the works.
Similar to Commercial Offices, manufacturing facilities may be initially designed to Shell & Core and CAT A level with no end user in place. This provides challenges in terms of future proofing baseline designs to accommodate future tenant requirements.
