Carron + Walsh are pleased to confirm that contracts have been signed for the construction of three new nursing homes in the south-east of Ireland, for which we are providing Employer’s Representative, Quantity Surveying and Contract Administration services . The Nursing Homes which are in Tramore, Kilbarry and Kilkenny will provide 273 bedrooms to Mowlam Healthcare in schemes being developed in partnership with Whitebox Properties and Aedificia. These works are scheduled to commence in October and will complete in October 2022 (Tramore), March 2023 (Kilbarry) and April 2023 (Kilkenny). The schemes have been designed by FHP, Garlands, Frank Fox Associates and CSD, and will be delivered by DFL.

Carron + Walsh is delighted to announce our appointment as Quantity Surveyors with respect to the National Library of Ireland West Wing Redevelopment. This conservation project will encompass a complete refurbishment of the West Wing of the National Library together with the development of a new glazed circulation core at the rear of the building. The newly refurbished West Wing will function as the open and accessible public face of the National Library on Kildare Street and will provide high quality exhibition spaces, education, retail and public facilities which best serves the needs of the National Library. The circulation building to the rear will provide access to all levels of the West Wing and the adjacent Centre Block which currently has limited accessibility.

Carron + Walsh has been appointed by the Office of Public Works as Quantity Surveyors for the delivery of Brexit Infrastructure Works at Terminal 7, Rosslare Europort.  The development will be undertaken on reclaimed lands and will encompass the following facilities when completed : Documentary Check Buildings, Seal Check Structures, An Garda Siochana Building, Revenue Building, EHS Building, DAFM Building, Groupage Building, Live Animal Buildings, Administration Offices, Vehicle Inspection Halls, Trade Office together with new road and HGV parking infrastructure, utility infrastructures and security infrastructure. This significant port project follows the completion of a similar portfolio of works within Dublin port undertaken in 2019 and 2020 and compliments our ports portfolio including the development of the Free Economic Zone within the Port of Alat, Azerbaijan which is currently under construction.
