Job Description

Carron + Walsh are expanding our Healthcare team for existing and upcoming projects and are looking for a suitable candidate with acute hospital project experience for the position of Senior Quantity Surveyor, in our Dublin or Waterford office. The Candidate will undertake Quantity Surveying duties independently whilst reporting to our Management Team in the delivery of Healthcare projects. Typical duties may include:

• Preparation of Development Budgets and Feasibility Appraisals
• Implementation of Value Engineering
• Preparation of tender documentation including Bills of Quantities
• Analysis of tender returns
• Preparing Financial Reports
• Operation of Carron + Walsh Cost Management System
• Compliance with Carron + Walsh Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems
• Preparing Payment Recommendations
• Agreement of Compensation Costs
• Programme Analysis
• Managing support staff

The ideal candidate would have the following traits:

• Chartered, with a B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying
• 10 years post qualification experience (PQS preferred), with an emphasis on Healthcare projects
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work proactively within project teams
• Commercially focused
